The quest for the perfect stroller often feels like shopping for a new car. The array of options can be overwhelming, and it’s challenging to compare the pros and cons. Fortunately, we received two fantastic strollers as gifts from generous friends and family: the Uppababy Vista V2 and the Babyzen Yoyo. In this post, I’ll share our experiences comparing the Uppababy Vista V2 vs. the Babyzen Yoyo2 to help you choose the right ride for your baby. By the end, you’ll have a clearer perspective on which stroller aligns with your family’s needs.
Price:
The price difference between the Uppababy Vista V2 and the Yoyo is quite noticeable. The Yoyo, priced at around $500, is a more budget-friendly option compared to the Vista V2, which sits at $1,000. It’s worth noting that the Vista V2 includes a bassinet for newborns, while the Yoyo requires a separate $250 accessory purchase. This brings the price difference to around $250. While it’s a significant amount, it might not be a deal-breaker.
Design, Build, and Functionality:
The Uppababy Vista V2 is a robust and versatile stroller designed for various terrains. It feels like a tank with its large wheels and ample storage space. Reversing the seat to have your baby face you while strolling is a notable feature. Even though it has its flaws, the Vista V2 can adapt for two children if needed. You can read my in depth review of the Vista to better understand its features.
In contrast, the Babyzen Yoyo is all about compactness and agility. Just as the Vista feels like a tank, the Yoyo feels like a Formula 1 car. It’s exceptionally lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it ideal for city living. The Yoyo’s compact size allows it to fit almost anywhere, even under restaurant seats. We had the personal experience of being denied service at a couple of restaurants in Paris over a family vacation because of the mere size of the Vista. However, it may not be as suitable for rough terrains such as sandy beaches or snowy mountains, both of which were easily handled by the Vista. On the flip side, whenever any situation where a stroller cannot be pushed, the Yoyo is easy to just pick up with the baby inside and carried wherever it needs to be placed.

Portability:
When it comes to portability, the Yoyo takes the lead. It’s incredibly convenient for families with space constraints or frequent travelers. The Yoyo’s easy handling even earned it a place on airplanes, where other strollers are often denied.
Ease of Use:
Both strollers have their nuances when it comes to ease of use. Engaging and disengaging the brakes is straightforward in both models. Folding and placing them inside a car can be a bit challenging. It’s practically impossible to fold them with one hand while holding a baby, but this is rarely a real-life scenario. I must say however, the Vista requires quite a lot of space in a trunk of any vehicle to be transported, and its measurements must be taken seriously to see its placement in your life. Also, lifting the Vista after being folded feels like a short leg-day workout, not suited for my wife.
Conclusion:
After comparing the Uppababy Vista V2 vs. the Babyzen Yoyo2 Strollers I can tell you that the decision of which one to buy, in the end it all depends on your specific needs and lifestyle. If you prioritize versatility, in-stroller storage space, and a smoother ride, the Vista V2 is an excellent choice. However, if portability and maneuverability in tight spaces are your top priorities, the Yoyo Stroller might be the better fit. Consider your family’s requirements and preferences to make the right decision.
